CNC Machinist (Mill & Lathe)

Summary: XTERRA is seeking a full-time CNC machinist to fabricate aluminum and high strength stainless steel components utilized in our products and for our customers. The ideal candidate will have enough experience to be able to do independent setup of metal machining tools with minimum oversight and will be motivated to create high quality parts. This job will be performed on-site at our McDade, TX facility.

Must be willing to work 40+ hours a week when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• 2+ Years of experience

• Proficient in reading GD&T and engineering drawings

• Ability to perform manual inspection with gauges, calipers, indicators, etc.

• Ability to setup 3-axis & 4-axis CNC mills & lathes

• Ability to make work holding fixture/setup changes

• Ability to work with minimal supervision

• Must have job shop type experience with short runs, frequent tear down and setups while maintaining a high quality of workmanship

• Punctual, reliable, and detail-oriented

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ Years Experience

• Familiarity with Haas CNC Machines

• Familiarity with aerospace hardware/standards

• Familiarity with Mastercam

• Ability to program in Mastercam
