Quality Engineer/Production Manager

Summary: XTERRA is seeking a full-time quality engineer to ensure our products are being manufactured to our specifications and are meeting the design intent. We’re a small company and as such, this is an interdisciplinary role that will also include production management tasks and may include some design/engineering tasks as well, when needed. This job will be performed on-site at our McDade, TX facility.

Must be willing to work 40+ hours a week when necessary.

Required Qualifications:

• A.S. in Engineering, Physics, Applicable Discipline, or Equivalent Experience

• 3+ Years of experience in the field

• Proficient in reading GD&T and engineering drawings

• Process Definition Experience

  • Fabrication Workflows

  • Traveler Creation

  • Procedure Writing

• CMM Inspection

• Manual Inspection with Gauges, Calipers, Etc.

• ISO9001/AS9100 Certification Support

• Production Planning & Oversight

• Team Management

Desired Qualifications:

• 6+ Years Experience

• Familiarity with space industry and specifically the small satellite sector

• Familiarity with electro-mechanical space hardware such as deployment hardware, actuators, etc.

• Fixturing/Tooling Design
