Business Development Manager

Summary: XTERRA is seeking a full-time business development manager with an emphasis on sales, who is passionate about space hardware to join our team and help bring our products to the world. This is an interdisciplinary role and while the focus of the position is hardware sales, applicant should also be able to help with all aspects of business development including, but not limited to, marketing, customer service, grant proposal writing, and government relations. Applicant's must have a hands on technical background, familiarity with the industry, and be self motivated to find and pursue sales leads.

Must be willing to work 40+ hours a week when necessary and be okay with frequent travel.

Required Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering, Physics, or Equivalent Experience

5+ Years of experience in the field

Familiarity with space industry and specifically the small satellite sector

Familiarity with electro-mechanical space hardware such as deployment hardware, actuators, etc.

Demonstrated history of making sales, creating, and maintaining business relationships

Demonstrated history of proposal writing and being awarded grants, such as SBIRs
-
Knowledge of and experience with government procurement practices and getting government contracts

10+ Years of experience with space hardware sales

U.S. Citizenship is Required

​Position is full-time and frequent travel is required. Applicant would ideally work on-site at XTERRA's McDade, TX facility, approximately 30 miles outside of Austin when not traveling, but remote work is possible depending on applicant's ability to complete tasks remotely and sufficiently communicate with the rest of the team.
